Over a month and its touching the turbo aswell. On top of that I live in Georgia and don't have any kind of hood venting. It gets hott under there.

Have you considered having someone weld a metal fitting there onto the cold side of the turbo?

What kind of metal fitting do you have in mind?

and the only way any welding will happen is if they can weld it as is, without having to remove the turbo.

Your camera is taking great pictures of your feet...you just need to refocus a bit

Something like this.

The turbo would come out or need to. I'm not sure if this will help your situation either. I'm guessing your hot pipe leading out to the intercooler has a bend to feed out away from the motor.

I'm perplexed that you have this problem when I have the same exact setup and have no issues with my coupler melting

It is not physically possible for you to have the same distance between the pipe and manifold as me and not have the coupler melt. The manifold hits surface temps of what was it, 1200-1400 degrees?

You have a 35R with a notched frame, I have a 30R without a notched frame.

I am terribly vexxed with this problem as well.

Although thats a good idea, it has been mentioned before, and even if I did have the time to take the turbo off, get it welded, and put it back on, I'd have to 'modify' the ICP to fit this new outlet, and that will not fly since I need the ICP to connect in the same place as it is now for my next setup.

I hate to say it, but I think your best bet is to reclock the turbo. The intercooler piping should move to the side if you pull on it hard enough.

Can't b/c of frame clearance. Intercooler piping barely moves to the side when I pull hard on it (thats how I wedge the heat wrap in btwn the coupler and manifold).

Maybe I'm SOL and will just have to keep doing the swaparoo til December gets here...there's gotta be another way though...
