Default Cracked v160 case

Was at the track sunday and at the end of 4th gear my dss drive shaft broke off from the U joint causing it to drag on the floor at 125mph and destroy my tranny tunnel. When I came to a stop their was a trail of fluid under the car, wasn't sure where it was coming from as my car is too low to see under. Towed the car home, first thing I did was drain the tranny fluid, nothing came out. Cleaned up the case on the tranny and put some fluid in it and right away it came pouring out of the side of the case

End result of the DSS shaft

I'm assuming the case is going to have to be replaced..?

Theres a lot of violent things happening underneath there when you drop a driveshaft at 125mph. I'm sure that had something to do with it

you could pull the box and have someone weld it ... or tow it somewhere and have someone weld it til it doesnt leak ... or get yourt wallet out ....

I had my steel DSS drive shaft balanced when it was new before I even put it on and it was way off. Glad I did that...Maybe the aluminum DSS shaft isn't as strong as the steel. At least I believe mine is steel....It's from Inline Pro's kit.

BTW, don't you still have that stock drive shaft loop on to prevent the drive shaft from falling to the ground in an event like yours?

Take a magnet to your driveshaft. If it sticks its steel
