Are you thinking the case cracked when the universal joint was 'jammed up'? Did the diff pull away/move towards the rear?
That's *very* scary- car could have easily flipped over...at 125mph.
No transmission is "bulletproof ", some just stronger then others in this case its not the trans or the adapters that failed its the u-joint that failed.a chain is only as strong as the weakest link that link being the u-joint in this case, there are many v160 conversions getting beat a lot harder then this with no issues, mine worked great till I missed 3rd at 9000rpm was not the trans fault I toasted the syncro it was mine for noob shifting it early nothing you can do about it in that situation
