Default crankcase venting

I have my comptech SC installed as it is supposed to. I have seen a lot of local people with FI s2ks put a filter on the crankcase vent line that goes to the intake and put a plug on the pcv valve. I was wondering if I should do the same because I really don't want crap getting sucked through my blower and into the engine. I just didn't know if I should do this or not since the kit has the lines run where they are.

the thick crankcase vent line that usually goes to the intake, i had a breather [filter] on that. no one plugs the PCV valve. i think what you're thinking is a plug, is really a one way PCV valve with the end exposed.

We REALLY need to get a sticky up there about this.

Answering this once a week is crazy.

IF you look over the next couple pages, you will find a few threads that answer this question in pretty good detail.

if the pcv valve isn't plugged then it just must not have a hose attached.

Anyway is that a good set up? put a breather on and take both hoses off and plug the holes into the intake? seems like a $5 mod.

I run 2 oil/air separators for my SC setup. If I were turbo, then I would run it different. My config is as follows:

PCV --> oil/air separator --> Krank Vent --> Intake Manifold

Valve cover/front breather --> oil/air separator --> Air Intake

Oil/Air separator used - http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MOR-85472/
