Default Dip Stick pops up consistently.

Popped up on the way to the DYNO. Just cleaned the engine bay and once we popped the hood about 1/8 of a qt was all over the the valve cover and dip stick was past the seals meaning it didnt just pop up it shot up and was resting 1/2" above seals under an angle.

It's a new PCV valve.... what now, Crank Vents?

Sounds about right. Its a simple solution to that annoying problem. What's your set up like?

Do you have a breather filter on the vent tube or do you have a hose from the breather tube to the intake? The intake will help to pull out the pressure.

Hey guys, I have a tube that goes from Valve cover back to the intake elbow. Which seems to shoot oil into my SC anyways which pisses me off.

Also what do you mean drill? Drill what out?

drill the spring loaded valve out of the pvc that screws into your valvecover, run a hose from that to a catch can. also put a small filter from pepboys on the front one or run that line to a catch can also. i wouldnt run the hose to your intake

stop recirculating your valve cover to the intake. Run a 1/2 hose from the valve cover to a catch can that has has two inlets. depending what valve cover you have (what year is it?), somehow remove the PCV valve in exchange for a fitting with no check valve. Run that the the other inlet of the catch can. That should solve any/all dip stick issues.

Heres a picture of my setup. AP1 with an 06+ valve cover. Notice I do not have a catch can yet, I am just dumping to the ground by the oil pan plug

Funny out of two boosted s2k motors, I have never had this issue, but enough guys seem to for some reason. I filter the front breather(removed from intake)and keep the stock pcv in place with a Supra TT pcv inline with it. i think its important to keep the pcv in place if possible, becuase it draws out the unburnt fuel vapor that would normally contaminate the oil. Ive experimented with just putting a breather on the pcv and noticed my oil deteriorated about twice as fast as it normally would, so unless your running major boost and need that extra bit of pressure evacuation, its best to leave the pcv in place and just let the front vent breath.

I partially agree. The PCV only works when it seems vacuum. Otherwise in boost it closes and your left with just the front vent to flow air, which isnt enough. The Vibrant oil scavenger oil cap is nice, but it blows out too much oil.

How about recirculating a catch can with some media inside that would trap the oil, like in my 240sx I filled the catch can with stainless steel scrubber pad material.
