CT SC bov vacume line?
Now from me being a turbo guy as this being a SC it's seems alittle odd how this thing works. Now for what I mean by this, it seems that the BOV stays open all the time and then shuts under full throttle. So what I don't get is why is it open all the time and not shut, to then open when it needs to releave the presure? Is it because of the line the I used was the same that went to the bypass valve that the kit came with? Not really sure how they work but I know they stay open alittle all the time. Has any one with a front mount had this problem yet and if so what the fix for it.
For a SC setup it's normal and the way it's supposed to work. The car is under boost all the time because it's connected to the crank pulley by the belt. The amount of boost is nominal except under throttle when it shuts.
Not quite sure if I understand correctly or not, but NO the BOV should not be open all the time. At idle and under vacuum it should be open and under boost it should fully close.
If its not closing under boost your loosing air that could make you more horsepower.

When i had my 3inch pulley on my supercharged setup, the blow off valve was even open at idle, because the blower was pumping more air than the engine was ingesting!

well it is open almost all the time except under boost. This is because the supercharger is a centrifugal design. So the blower is always compressing air, compared to a roots style blower (with bypass valve) that is positive displacement.

At idle and under vacuum (so driving out of boost) the bov will remain open. Only under boost (WOT usually) will it close.
My 35R blows air out the bov even at idle (the bov is opened)

ahh you guys got what I said in all the post. It is open all the time except under boost. As soon as I crack it to WOT it does shut. It was just racking my brain as this is the first SC car I had and everything else I have is turbo and WAY dif. Thanks for the help thoe guys
