Default CTSC - Going to High Boost

Just after peoples thought on the matter.

I've gone from 6.5psi, low boost (245rwhp), and now I'm on a 3.8" pulley making 8.6 psi (305rwhp). I have an AEM 1052U stand alone, so EMS isn't a problem. I also run 750cc injectors, also not a problem.

I'm tempted to go from 8.6 to ~10 or 11psi, but I've read multiple times it will require a new HG..... and then I've read upto 13psi is fine, or even the crazy Puerticans running with no HG lol.

Other than the HG swap, is there anything else I should be wary of requiring change?

Those of you that have gone past ~10psi....do you feel its been worth it?
Would you do it again, or is it just not worth the hassles?

Your input is appreciated

not sure if you have a aftermarket clutch, but if you do not, you'll need one. Also, my tuner tells me up to 14psi is good without a HG....thats if your tuner is GOOD. btw what type of dyno were your numbers from? they seem a bit low..

The car gets run on 2 Dyno Dynamics dyno's. Both yield similiar results.

I know I have low numbers and for some reason no one can tell me why, but then again, I live in Australia, and there is sweet **** all support. A friend of mine on these forums was S/c and is now turbo, but other than that, everyone else is interstate etc. In my whole state (think Cali , Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah and Arizona combined size), you'd be lucky to find a half dozen boosted S2000's be it S/C'd or turbo....

Only 245?!?! that dyno must be a low reader but anyway..... you will be fine up to 10lbs of boost or get a head gasket and up it to 15lbs no problem

Are you sure about that?

I can probably find more than half dozen people just from Oregon/Washington area with SC or Turbo, and I think Cali alone probably has more boosted S2K than rest of the states combined that you've listed.

Anyway, I'm looking to up my boost to some where around 10psi myself this coming Spring, based on what I've seen/read/spoken to, 10psi do not need a HG, and 750cc
injectors might be overkill. I'm torn between 650's or 550's right now depending on what kind of deal I can find during this winter.

lol, I meant my state size is equal to the combined size of Cali , Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah and Arizona, but yet there would only be 1/2 dozen (at the most!) boosted S2K's in my state that is that size.

I'm just after feedback, wondering if pushing for the next step is worth it.

Dyno Dynamics dynos are heart breakers. They are load bearing and I believe read 10-15% lower than most dynos that are not load bearing (Dynojet, Dynapak, etc). Although you're results do seem a little low, what is your altitude? I made 278 uncorrected on a Dyno Dynamics at 6000ft elevation on a 7PSI pulley, with AEM and RC 750's.

S20004ME PDX 750cc's will give you room to go up if you decide to. Plus they are close to the same price as 650's and 550's by $15-35/injector

I would also say a new Map sensor as well. the factory Map sensor is good up to 10.9PSI but I'd give yourself a some head room.
