I just bought the house, z06 is next.

Scott - you think it was the oil feed that ate the turbo?

Yep, I think it was the 0.030 restrictor they told me to put in to stop the smoking

Ok we need to iron this out. In your build thread it was posted that two restrictors cured everyone's smoking problem with the BB Precisions. I did this as well and it for the two days my car ran this month, it did not smoke one bit. If Precision comes back and tells you oil starvation is what killed it, I'm not sure what that would mean for those of us that added another one per the good feedback of others.

I think all this means don't buy precision turbos...
I'm tired of their sh't constantly breaking...

Scott why do you have to copy my Z06 plan? Heck I'm the one with my hair falling out not you!

So your going V8 like me, ha ha. I can't wait till my Mustang 5.0 is built. Vette is a nice car, tons of aftermarket stuff as well. Since I have been researching mods I can't belive how much easier it is.

Interseting, I've got a bigger one in mine (larger orifice), I'll have to double check the size b/c I was getting some smoke as well.

I swear the turbo is on it's way out as well..so we shall see when it hits the dyno next spring.

I had a Vette last year I built and sold while I had my s2k. My s2k was more fun.

I had a heads/cam nitrous fed c5 auto with gears and converter.

Like a keep saying when are you going to put a Whipple on it? You will have to hurry up and order it so you are ready to install when the car is delieverd.

Well then, you are going to jump on the band wagon with me. I have found several Silver Z's in the midwest around 25,000 miles under $40K. I think you need to sell your car buy a ticket to KC, I will treat you to some real BBQ and then go with you to pick up your new ride.
