I was hoping that the krankvent solution would work for me but no go. Dipstick still popped out quite a bit, oh well.

So I removed the second one going back to the intake and vented it separetly instead, I doubt that will help but who knows.

The funny thing is I have never burned a drop of oil so I don't have much / any blow by and I make good power ....

My dipstick only pops on the track after hard hard hard driving I suspect the engine just doesn't have enough time to vent the gases it creates and eventually the dipstick pops.

I dont think you understand blow by. It is when high pressure gas in the combustion chamber leaks past the rings into the crank case. This in itself will not cause you to burn oil. But will pop your dipstick when crank pressure builds. In extreme cases of blowby and poor case ventilation you will get puffs of smoke after going wot as the high pressure gas in the case floods back by the rings and brings oil with it.

Krank vents will not prevent popping your dipstick in certain configurations. krank vents only work properly in engines that do not exhibit any blow by at all or a minimal amount a most. Like I posted earlier, if your motor is older and has some blow by you will need to get a vented catch can setup to prevent excessive crank case pressure from popping dipsticks and forcing oil to leak from your valve cover seals.

If your rings are loose enough to cause excessive blowby, they are loose enough not to scrape the cylinder walls of oil and burn it. Trashed rings burn oil like crazy.

Change the o-rings on the dipstick. That fixes it quite often. Past that run a bigger vent line to a catch can.

Not true, you can have blow by and still not burn excessive oil. My previous motor had this problem. lots of crank case pressure under boost, but it never smoked at idle or other driving and it burned very little oil.

This is blow by

You can see it start about 1/2 of the way through the run

At the end of the run

First big puff is the blowby going back into the cylinder.

Second big puff is due to ignition cut.

My compression is near perfect and all are withing a couple of point of each other.
Burn 0.0 oil even after 4x20 minute track intervals.

Sorry. We're talking about different types of blow-by. I should read the entire thread next time. I'll bow out.

Well I've never burned a single drop of oil, no puffs. I only track the car and auto-x so it's all hard driving about 3000 miles a summer only on the track.

I change the oil in the spring and I check it often and it is always full, end of the season I change the oil again and it never drops.

I flip my dipstick around and voila it doesn't pop, so perhaps it's as silly as weak seals on the dip stick ... perhaps....

Engine isn't that old either only 30,000 miles unless that is considered old....

I'll look into the catch can mod for this winter I suppose, should be pics on here I guess not much room in the engine bay!
