Default DIY Comptech Novi 1000 SC rebuild

So around November i noticed oil leakage from the blower inlet/intake tract, which worked its way down onto the cross member and quickly filled it up, i suspected a seal had gone . So the blower had to come off which was a PITA, also the first seller sent me the wrong kit from the US and then second package from a different seller sent one wrong seal a total of near 3 weeks waiting for both packages. Pissed off i sourced the bearings and one seal but had to wait for the special spring loaded seal.

Upon further investigation when opening it up, i was right and it did indeed have a bad seal. The previous user IMO must of smashed it when taken apart and sold me it like this, also do not use an airgun and its not worth fitting shitty lesser quality bits.

All the bearing were replaced as well as seals. 3 custom made tools had to be made especially for the job as you can split them easily, the tools consisted of nylon tubing (tapered) and a millimetre perfect tool for pressing in the spring seal. Hats off to my mate as it was perfect and had to be perfect due to the metal double lip, he sure does know how to use a lathe.

The bearings are easier to get hold of but you will not easily get hold of the spring based seal, it is virtually impossible to get hold, trust me i spent days on the internet/shops looking so had to buy it from a seller in the US.

The car was put on the dyno again for piece of mind/tweak, where it dropped power but it was quite humid 70% IIRC lot of fog outside , timing is perfect. I saved around £80 as opposed to sending it to the US.

I can do yes, bearings are easy to cross reference/ find as well as output seal shaft but as I say impellor shaft is impossible.
