Default Changing oil with Comptech SC

I've recently installed a comptech unit on my car. I can no longer use my fumoto drain valve.

It's now rather a pain in the ass to change my oil, because of the big hose in the way (making it impossible to use a socket wrench), lack of access, and my x-brace makes it more difficult to get a box wrench in there.

Is there an easier way?

You could always switch to the Muz/Whiteline x-brace which doesn't block the drain plug.

The fumoto isn't going back in unless you remove the oil pan, and add a fitting for the return hose like the Vortech SC.

Ya know, I have my old fumoto sitting here and have thought of tapping a spare pan to accomodate the fumoto and leave the Comptech where it is!

would it be viable to get a T fitting and attach the fumoto that way? or do u think thats too much stress/weight on the oilpan threads...

I don't like the Comptech fitting much. I found that when I went to undo it it would always loosen the fitting into the sump rather than the AN fitting. And I certainly wouldn't want a T-piece or adaptor down there. It's exposed enough as it is.

I'd say tap the sump for the comptech and reinstall the Fumoto or just leave it off.

As for X-braces, you can't go past the Muz for convenience.

Honestly, no problems with either one - I had one on the S2000 for awhile now and the x-brace gave me piece of mind in the protection department and I have had one on my 4 runner for over 10 years and no problems to report.
It really makes oil changes so much easier.
