Default Do I need to calibrate my gauge ?

Just wired my white wire from my aem afr gauge to pin c16 on the ecu harness.

Just wondering if I need to calibrate the gauge or do anything else ? Getting ready for an Evans etune.

Be cautious reading the afr from the ems. I have a serial gauge and afr gauge from AEM. The serial gauge does not read what the afr gauge reads. I can't figure out why...

And there is a process I getting the ems to read the gauge correctly. Read the online manual for the afr gauge on the AEM forums, it has a few things you have to set. If you can't find it, send me your email and I'll get it to you.

If u have a built in afr ie the 1052u then no calibration needed. If u have a aem wide band piped into the box then yes u do need to calibrate it.

you will have to adjust your o2 sensor gain on the aem ems to get it to read close to what the wideband is already reading. youll see that if you adjust in one derection it will say your way lean and if you move it the other way it will get closer untill u pass it and it will read richer. you'll have to find the sweet spot to get it right.

Just make sure that you ground the gauges power at the same place as the ECM (Little ring terminal right next to it and take it to Jeff. He can check everthing out from there without thinking about it.

If you really want to run calibrations usually the MAP needs it more than anything else. Additionally AEM had the wrong curves in for the Air and Water temperature sensors. It is not a huge difference but that is easy to input.
