Default Do I need to Re-Tune

Im new to the FI game and am looking at bringing a car home that is from about 10 hours away and wanted to know if it is necessary (or possible) to re-tune the car? It is an AP1 running the stock Comptech S/C and Im concerned that the change in altitude may cause some issues with the system. Is this correct? Would I need to get it re-tuned in my area? Can I just reset the ECU and that be sufficient?

As best I can tell the stock Comptech S/C doesn't have many "tunable" options besides the FPR.... That being said would the FPR need to be adjusted or is that pretty universal between altitudes....

Any other input on getting a FI car from out of state would be greatly appreciated. I just spent about 8 hours reading all of the S/C info my brain can stomach and am trying to squeeze out the little bit of info I can't find.

Thanks

The ECU should correct itself. What the ECU does is it uses MAP, Engine Speed, IAT to compensate for elevation changes. It's get a lot more complicated (Boyle's Gas Law) to compensate for these types of changes. You shouldn't need to make any changes unless the car is doing unusual things or the car doesn't drive like it's supposed to.

You may need to reajust the pressure, the ECM can handle changes to the injectors at atmosphere but in boost its a different story.

All you need to do is watch your AFR's in boost and see what happens add or remove as needed.

What is the AFR ratio I am looking for max and min? What does it mean if it is lean or rich, I.E. what can I look for to let me know it is running lean or rich and what damages am I looking at if it starts running lean or rich.

And not to beat a dead horse but running a stock Comptech with AC, headers and exhaust am I pretty safe as far as reliability and not causing engine damage?

Thanks

You need to shoot for 11.7:1 in boost

Should be close, especially if the altitude changes dramaticlly

The elevation is going from about 500 currently to about 700 in its new home.

You are worried about a 200 ft change? Was the car even tuned as of now or just bolted on? If your good now you will be good when you move.
If 200 feet were an issue would be running rich and lean going up and down valleys lol.
