does this sound like thermostat or headgasket?
Im going to try and install the new thermostat to see if this is the fix but I have a feeling my headgasket already could be going and I have had my new engine from inline for only 3 or 4 months and I seriously rarely go fast not a single ticket and not much racing only and handful at most. Here are some new symptoms now that I have a temp guage if I let it warm up completly, I notice the car does not blow out hot air anymore when it's fully warmed up but if u drive it bam hot air works agian. I tried the warm it up and let it sit overnight and radiator fluid did push out when I loosened the radiator cap after letting it sit all night but it might be because I filled it to much I don't know. 3 the top radiator hose gets really hot but the bottom one nothing not even luke warm like nothings even going through it. when I squeeze the bottom hose it makes a clicking noise don't know. when I pulled off the water pump and ran water through the engine it was fine, so nothings blocking it. Basically what does it sound like more the thermostat or the 3mm headgasket is blown?? I just don't seem how I got the a brand new engine built at inline pro how could I already have ruined it. I have only put like a 1045miles on the new engine is it already gone bad I have done everything right please any comments
I just need somebody to tell me whether they are leaning more towards the thermostat like what Tom told me or is it a blown headgasket
Sorry I just feel so bad about all of this so much money spent do u think the engine is already damaged? I know it's a long post but im bugging!!!

I'm not even going to read that.
i imagined someone taking a deep breath and then talking like the micro machine commercial guy.
I say before you do a leakdown, compression check or change the thermostat or any of that other crap, bleed the cooling system correctly! Its obvious you have air in the system by your symptoms.
This is done by jacking up the front of the car and putting it on jack stands. Then remove the nub on the cooling line by the firewall and then loosen the bleeder on the head. Fill the overflow bottle to the full line to start. Then fill the radiator with coolant till it comes out steady from the bleeder with now air bubbles and close that.
Then wait till coolant comes out the nub by the firewall steady with no bubbles and then close that.
Then you need to run (idle) the car for around 30 minutes and "burp" the rest of the air out of the system, adding coolant to the radiator as needed.
It will spill coolant out due to expansion of the coolant sometimes but just keep filling it to the top of the radiator when it goes down in level. If you have a bleed cone to put on the radiator that would be even better.

also if thats all done and side. make sure you check your hose that goes to the radiator to reservoir tank and check for no cracks/leaks. i found mine from the reservoir tank cap that had a crack plastic piece.
