Default Does summer temps causing overboost?

My greddy turbo runs normally at 10.5 psi,

But now with the wheater increased from 20-35degrees celcius its overboosting to 13psi at just 4-5k rpms... What causes this?

I have a ported IG and a 3" berk headerback with HFC...

Im confused!

Colder air is also denser so your boost should increase in the winter. There is something else causing your boost to rise.

Check your wastegate and your boost controller

After some heavy rain, things cooled down alot so i took another drive, this time it was holding the normal 10.5psi and went only slightly to 11.5 psi... weird...

I did noticed when installing the external wastegate, that i realy needed to pull on the actuator arm to slide it over the wastegate flapper... Perhaps there is too much tension causing overboost?

Perhaps i could unclip the actuator arm, adjust it so it slides easily over the wastegate flapper and then turn it 3.5 turns tighter... I think this should lower my overall boost IF there is too much tension on the actuator arm...

But i'm gussing i need to ask this in the GReddy topics...

Thanks for looking anyhow!

check vacuum lines and your wastegate, as you shouldn't have overboosting issues due to the increased temperature.

I did checked the vacuum line going to the wastegate and it was in top shape... If i pull the turbo of the header, what symptoms do i need to look like to investigate the wastegate? Its only a flapper controlled by the actuator arm.. I don"t think the flapper is seized since its not overboosting badly..

Ill try adjusting the actuator arm after i checked everything.. I think that giving it less tension should lower the boost also?

Thanks for the help!!
