dry nitrous
I'm going with a 50 dry shot kit which basically all I have to do is plug and play. But since its dry, and I spray before the map/maf sensor will the ecu pick up the n2o and compensate fuel with the stock ecu?
Oh boy... before you turn your engine into a time bomb please do a little more research before installing a dry nitrous kit on your car. What type of kit is it? First off, I would never recommend using a dry kit because for the price difference a wet 50 shot is that much safer without breaking the bank. I would also suggest using colder plugs if you are going to spray, but to answer your question, NO, the stock ECU will not magically sense that you are running spray, and it will NOT dump more fuel to compensate for it. I am by no means an expert when it comes to nitrous, but I know that kits like those from ZEX come with some type of electronics (its not really a piggy-back, not sure what they call it) to dump more fuel when running nitrous, but you cannot run a 50 shot with the stock ecu without some type of piggyback to tune for it.
