I paid for the dyno still plus another 400 for all the parts needed for this upgrade(DMH electronic cutout, manual boost controller, Omni map sensor, and NGK Spark Plugs). I dont think anyone here likes to waste money for no reason in having to pay another dyno and if my tuner doesnt want to work with me, another 350-500 on someone elses services.

What is your defenition of a real boost controller? I bought a brand name (Turbosmart)manual boost controlelr(not a fake ebay controller) since I heard the manual boost controllers are realiable. And in this case, since it seems as though it was turned the opposite way, means it was working but not in the way i wanted it too.

Regarding buring your bridges, I think its a bit too late for that. When your tuner recommends to find someone else, you find someone else.

just go talk to them and if its something that can't be resolved then you have to go else where. This thread wasn't a good idea IMO because it started off as a bashing of the tuner and it turns out there was miscommunication and you set up the controller wrong whether the directions were wrong or not.

I never meant to bash him. Again never posted the shops name, his name, etc. I just was letting out my frustration in the dyno going sour and my engine potentially could have blown. There were multiple factors involved in this, not just one thing.

I am just shocked at the response this tuner gave on here.

He is mad that you were a customer asking questions. Also mad at the parts you ordered. He is also the person that accepted the job of tuning your car (and apparently for only an hour of dyno time?). If I wasn't comfortable with that as a tuner, I'd say lets reschedule or say NO. Turbosmart isn't some ebay brand to me either.

The only 'bridge burner' I am seeing is the tuner. You posted on here for help and insight, and left names out - I respect that.

You're running a friggin AEM EMS. Just get a 35 dollar MAC boost solenoid that they sell on ebay. Wire it into the EMS and control boost reliably with that.

If you want to up your boost level, you have to get it re-tuned.. simple as that. Seems like your only options left is to either stay at your current boost/power, or suck it up and find a new tuner and see if you can explain your situation and see if you can work out a better price as your car has already been pre-tuned.

This is the tuner's gf not the tuner. He actually tuned the car prior to this dyno session he did not spend just an hour tuning the car. He spends HOURS perfecting his tunes unlike most tuners in the area. There is also a difference between asking questions and constantly questioning what he's doing while he is tuning the car. When you're trying to concentrate, someone constantly in your ear is not going to do anything but annoy you. I don't know many tuners who would deal that.

I've seen him take calls from the OP after business hours and go above and beyond what a normal tuner does. He even gave him AWESOME pricing on all of the work he did, especially the tuning fees.

Exactly, I paid $89 for my AEM boost control solenoid and it is all controlled though the EMS.

That's not what happened. I did ask questions regarding concern for my car since it boosted full boost on it's first run.

The pricing was 350 initially, normal price plus I gave him an extra 20 to him and his partner. This time it was goin to be 125.

Never questioned his skills but like to be informed. This debate isn't about that. It's about my engine health and what j should do or check.
