Was thinking the same, it needs to be pretty cold to have issues if the map is well tuned.

For reference, with a bad map my s2000 with stock compression and iridium plugs did hardly start when it was warm outside. (Above 20C or 70F.) Had to use start spray.

Yeah, my cold start map is jacked.

I've tried more fuel...still doesn't work right. I just don't feel comfortable spraying craploads of fuel and washing out the cylinder walls...

I've read that cold starts are an issue with e85, that's why there's a "summer blend" and a "winter blend". the winter blend is designed for easier starts but you get a little less of the summer blend benefits.

I've been running e85 for roughly a year now. (not on an s2k, but a gti)

Intank pump + walbro...both work fine to this very day.

fuel lines are perfect...no corrosion or destruction, etc
That is great to know. Thanks
I am going to change my walbro intank pump, wehn I try this e85, just in case. I have 1 feeder intank walbro for the surge tank and 2x bosch 044 in the s2k. I don't really want the walbro to die, the other 2 pumps still going and lean out the engine.

How is the intake+exhaust temp with this fuel compare to standard fuel?

A single Walbro and ID1000's will be good for 450whp give or take.

A single Walbro feeding an inline Bosch 044, with ID1000's at 100psi fuel pressure is good for a bit over 600whp.

Chris from AMS and I were discussing using E85. If I were to use 1000cc on 93 oct I would have to use 1400cc with E85 to get the same numbers. Whatever happened to going with the meth/water injection kit?

Local guy is running 400 whp on a KW S/C on e85 with one Walbro 255. He is a tuner so I think he's doing things right.
