E85 vs. Methanol Injection
I've been doing some research and I'm debating which one would work better in the long run. The nearest E85 station is about four miles from me, so I'm not really concerned with obtaining it easily.
What I really want to know is one actually better than the other? Both are going to require purchased parts (AEM kit or ID1000's) and both are going to require a re-tune on my AEM EMS. Any help would be much appreciated.

E85
Id 1000cc
Walbro 255 and rape!
How much boost you looking to run
They both help prevent dentonation but I would run E-85

I would definately use E85, much less to go wrong and it is much more convenient I think. I had meth injection and I removed it even though I don't have a nearby E85 station.
Looks like the decision is pretty much unanimous at this point.
I'm barely getting 200 miles to the tank at the moment with my RC550's and E85 is $2.79 vs. 91 octane at $3.47.
Who's running it and how often are you refilling? Car is my DD by the way.

Im also on the fence about E85, done meth, not doing it again.
I have 3 stations within 2 miles of my house, but what do you do when you're not very close to home? Since you use more E85 than 93 octane for the same amount of driving I would be worried about running out of fuel.
Does anyone here run 93 octane & just add toluene or xylene to get the desired RON#? Id feel more comfortable keeping a jug of that in my trunk rather than a big tank of E85.

I have run xylene before when I was going to a track and I was running a simple setup but I did not really get it tuned on it. Its very inconvenient to have to mix fuels and for the price of xylene you can get a jug of race gas. I have thought about running a mix of 10% methanol in my fuel but I am just too lazy lol.
