Default eBay turbo kit for $299?

I am sure this are total cheap ass crap. Has anyone ever tried on just for the fun of it?
Besides the waste of money, I blow more on scratch tickets sometimes, what would be the consequences?

Here is the item number if you care to take a Peeks

eBay item# 251184195543

I think someone bought one about a year back. It was like a $900 kit. Everything looked so cheap, the turbo looked like a toy and I think the owner didn't want to install it because he was afraid it would damage the engine

Might make a cool display but I would bolt that up to my lawnmower.

That is a bunch of random, loose, low-quality parts, not a turbo kit. Turning that into a functioning turbo kit will probably cost 10x the price of the ebay auction. If you have a ton of welding experience and loose aluminum/steel tubing, go for it. If not, don't waste your money.

Everyone wants to knock on eBay turbos. Imho they're so much better than precision turbos... Never seen an eBay turbo be bad out of the box brand f@#king new.. Have seen precisions turbos be bad brand new, snap the turbine shaft first pass at drag strip, and blow on the dynos. Hell even personally I had an eBay 57 trim last longer than my current 6766 before it needed a rebuild..

This is true! But the cheap route will definitely give you more problems than a quality build will.
