eBay turbo kit for $299?
It's funny how many people bash on precision turbos, I've ran probably 10 of them on b series, d series, h series, and my s2000s without any issues. Given the journal bearings are known To have problems but the DBBs are solid. If all precision turbos were junk all the time the company wouldn't still exist, nor would they be on the fastest door slammers in the world.
That being said I had an eBay turbo on my civic last year un tuned go 11s as and make over 400whp, but I got lucky, I've had eBay turbos start smoking as soon as a week after they were new.
Just my experience

OP: In the beginning I bought a pile of ebay crap parts to assemble a turbo kit. Why risk it?!
Did more reading(thanks s2ki) and decided on going with a Vortech SC setup (V-2 SCi) that costed upwards of $6000 after install and tune. Now I have a reliable/expandable setup that pushes 340WHP. No battery/AC relocate, kept cruise control, drives smooth, and goes wild in VTECH!

Right, but he's got an adapter flange to allow the mounting of a Tial BOV (v-band flange) to the standard Vortech aftercooler flange (which I think is a Greddy BOV flange?). Just wondering where he got that flange; maybe its a commonly available thing... a Greddy flange to Tial flange adapter?
