i wanted to add some more info.

my dbmeter is my iphone lol. "theres an app for that" bwahahaha.

anyways, wot, the asura was way louder, but sounded so awesome. hytech wot, is well, quiet, for me anwyays, remember what i am comparing it too.

i will try and get some vids today.

the drone spot, 3-4k, is still worse then stock exhaust. 100% its louder then a stock exhaust on the car, i know cuase i had one on there for a few weeks. but its better then the asura was in that area.

is this exhaust worth the small child i paid for it, ehhhhhh, i prolly shoulda just went turbo lol.

but for now, its a fun toy to play with.

RStoR...you might want to correct your above post...

" Ok...I got some sound numbers tonight with this meter: http://www.parts-express.com/pe/show...number=390-722

In-car windows rolled up/down did not seem to matter. Microphone was anywhere from just next to my head (right ear) to just above the center console just behind the shifter (again, did not seem to mater much where I put it) Meter was set to "MAX HOLD" with the wind screen installed.

Using anywhere from half to full throttle from 2500 - 4500 rpm only, achieved a consistent 99db - 101db max level. It would seem that a comfortable maximum IN-CAR level would be around the 88db - 91db or so level (just my opinion).

I also had the car on a back road and got out and placed the meter about 10 - 12 feet behind the car on the ground centered between the tips with the mic facing the car...the result was similar at 101db - 102db.

Although this is NOT the most scientific method, I just wanted to get some rough measurements.

I have a short video and I will be trying to get it up here very soon if I can. I have NO experience with this as of yet.

More to come...

Thank you, Brian
"

Oh...and I DO NOT have the Hytech header INSTALLED yet. Just FYI!

yeah i am glad the tips were fixed from yours, but i kinda shot myself in teh foot by asking for a 3" midpipe. ie no resonator. i really didnt even know that was gonna happen.

i am happy its quiter then my asura, but woulda been even better if it had resonator on it. i might try to work something out later. but for now, it is what it is

Ok just did a highway drive. Here's some results

First these are unweighted results. A weighted are much lower.

Idle in car windows up
77-78

Cruising hwy 3-4k half throttle drone spot
99-102 damn u no resonator.

What's funny is that's still quieter then asura. It would peg the meter even in a weighted. Hytech is way less boomy.

Wot is very quiet compared to asura. Not as cool sounding lol but still nice tone.

Again overall happy but still not stock and not zero drone.
