ok heres the deal.

i dont think anyone should send there blower to get ported right now.

what i have achieved here is a blower that sounds like its eating ****** marbles. i havent called yet to ask if this is normal, but my shady tree mechanic gut says no. car is running fine, blower is def making boost well, but the noise, i just am not sure yet.

i have been driving it past few days. its awesome out and i am loving having a vert again. exhaust sounds great, not loud at all anymore. blower screams in boost. that part i like a lot.

powah, well, feels quicker, but that could be a combo of a miscalibrated butt dyno, a v8 that i get to drive on a reg basis now, and the hope that all this money wasnt just thrown away

for now, it will do. over the next week or so i will be street tuning it and then ill try to get it on the dyno one more time to see what it makes.

i have to say, before i touched the blower, it was reliable. extremely reliable. i really want that back rofl. i would drive the car 2200 miles to the dragon and back and only bring with me a sc belt, main belt, some tire plugs, and spark plugs. now, i feel like i need a friggin repalcement blower just in case.

porting fail.

bummer.

sorry to hear. If the M62 is anything like the m45 that the mini cooper S has, when you port the blower, they fill in a 'sound deadening' hole on the vane, which increases the noise A LOT! I'd say that if the blower is going to grenade itself, it would have done so already, like it did before.

I think I will just port my Moss manifold and leave the SC alone. I have 45k miles of over-spinning abuse on my SC and it still sounds like it did on day one.

Doing an SC oil change when I install the KPRO this weekend and will probably open up the Moss manifold a little bit. Also thinking of moving my intake filter into the passenger side fender (have to figure out how I am going to get in there to clean it, etc..)

I may start looking for another MP62 - will call SOT and ask James how much one would be.
