EGT Guage question
If you are just going to install one, install it in cylinder # 1 a couple of inches from the port.
This is the known cylinder that will typically go leaner.
Use a bunch of grease on the drill and tap (to catch the majority of the shavings) and you'll be ok. I did mine with my manifold on and turbo and everything in place with no issues.

ok thanks, this wont jeopardize the integrity of the runner ( I sound like a nerd, lol) on the manifold right?
There are a lot of tight bends on my manifold and if its safer to just put it in the DP and add 200F I don't mind that either..........
Just trying to prevent a glowing manifold again, I figure the DP was glowing as well, so I know for sure the EGT probe in the DP would have been hot enough to let me know something is wrong.

That should work well, it'll be better than having no EGT sensor at all and It will still give you a good idea of how your engine is doing.
Just make sure you start your tap small so that the 1/8"npt sensor thread goes in tight, sometimes the thin wall pipes dont offer enough thickness for the sensor threads to grab onto.
