There was a 5mph crash test where the car can't sustain any damage. I dont know if it's still in place.

I didnt think they actually did emissions testing with actual rules during a cold start.

 

After covering many miles on this vehicle and from past experience with other turbo cars, you do not want to vent to atmosphere. Its nothing but an oily mess under the hood if you run the car hard and especially at the track.

The noise is a nice thing to some, I has a HKS SSQ unit on my 3rd gen. rx-7, it made such a huge mess if I run anymore than 1/4 mark above low on the oil dipstick.

We're scheduled to install the first pre-production unit in the next few weeks, we hope before X-Mas. The air/air will be designed then.

We're considering making the ceramic ball bearing on the turbo optional to keep the kit reasonably priced.

i personally would not care whether or not it was ball bearing. however if the price difference is only a couple hundred dollars, that's not really anything to balk over when the total price is $6,000.

I am confused....how does the BOV cause an oily mess under the hood? The BOV should just be purging the built up pressure in the intake piping before the throttle body correct? Maybe I am missing something. At any rate, if I buy a turbo then I want to hear the BOV...the sound is just awesome.

Your kit is sounding awesome. If you start a waiting list to purchase it (assuming it will meet CARB) let me know as I would like to be added.

As for price, please, your kit is well priced. The total kit cost less than the wheels and tires for my M3.

on my dsm the bov would spray oil but that was because of a turbo with 100k miles on it.

 

Where is the oil coming form? Is it from the Oil used to cool/lubricate the turbo? More importantly, what happens to that oily mess when you route it back into the intake ahead of the turbo?
