Elda Engineering Turbo Kit
I have to chime in on Wael's side here. The data/theories you've all put forth certainly merit study, but clearly Wael has done that!
I'm waiting on pins and needles for this thing, because I KNOW that anything ELDA sets their mind to doing will be about as good as it gets. As he's stated, he tested both and found the more expensive air to water superior in our car due to the smaller front opening. (Keep in mind that the kit includes a 200% capacity radiator, so coolant cooling ability should be dramatically increased.)
The incredible thing about this kit (besides the likelihood of CARB certification) is that it produces torque, (the thing we buy a turbo for)superior to other turbo kits running significantly more boost! At only 5 lbs, a properly lubricated stock motor should be able to handle the load without any detriment.
This is a clearly brilliant design.
Guess that MIT tuition was well spent

There really isn't much news...we're waiting for the foundry to deliver the first run of exhaust manifolds, they said December, then pushed it to January and now they're saying something else. The boss is away until the first of the year, we'll contact him when he returns and push to get the manifolds sooner.
In the mean time we're looking at options for ceramic coating the manifold and turbine housings as well as pricing to make the finish standard on the system. The special hardware we use is also being collected from the various sources.
The prototype system has been removed from the car, disassembled and checked for wear and blue printed. The results so far are positive and a few small changes are being implemented for production.
All in all we're using this down time to go over all the boring details that often get hashed when the process is rushed.
We're confident all future clients will be satisfied with the level of detail and testing being performed by all the parties involved in this project. We will probably be the last to the party but we hope the product is good enough to make up for it.
cheers

I gave Wael a call, left a message, hoping he would update us all soon.
