emanage swap out?
Im sure you turbo thread guys read at least 2 of my random stupid question posts every week and do a "palm to face" every time you read them.
Im just really skeptical as to what kit i should get?
I have about 89k on my 2k and i want to boost my car so bad its killing me.
I want to be safe and go with greddy because i honestly dont want 400whp with a car with 90k miles on it. AND i dont really need to spend more cash on putting a clutch in if i get a greddy and yadda yadda yadda...eventually i would but ya..i want to enjoy the car asap before winter is here and the car goes sleep sleep.
**So my real question is, can i swap out a emanage for like a AEM? Kpro?**
IF not i'm just gunna go with mase or inline. I have the money now and want to make the right decision before i dump the cash and in the end be sad.
That's why i ask you guys first! Figure thousands of others with boosted 2ks would know better than some clueless sales rep. <--(i called a web site to ask this question about the greddy with a dif. ems, they said "hold on let me transfer you"........waited 15 mins, 20 mins and hung up.. great help huh?)
Thanks much, again
Jim

yes you can use AEM or Kpro, and it would run smoother/ safer. But no matter the engine management you are not going to make over 330whp on a Greddy kit. The turbo sucks.
Upgrade the hotside to an IP/revhard log & bigger turbo, or go all out on a nice tubular setup like Mase.
Good luck

hell even go Godspeed...Even Toan from Ptuning said the installation on it was way more direct and easier and the potential was so much greater..
I've done 2 godspeed kits on my car and ran awesome. Another person had Ptuning install one on his 07 and he loves it as well.

I bought an SOT roots kit and have been super happy with it. Out of the box its probably pretty close to the performance of Greddy kit near the high end of the scale.
If you research them and are interested here is the contact person.

I have had mine for maybe 5,000 miles on it and don't launch the car but my stock clutch has had no issues so far. One of the first guys with the kit last I saw him post had over 20,000 miles stock clutch.
Its not super expandable to high power like lots of the turbo kits, but the boost is immediate and its a lot of fun. And like any other kit, you can choose to go with the engine management you like given you can find someone who can tune it.

Greddy turbo doesn't suck, it performs just as advertised. But when put in comparison with the other systems on the market by power output, yes it does pale. Hard.
It was a choice between the greddy and ctsc for me.
The greddy is pretty damn good small quick spooling turbo for what it is.

I really dont wanna go crazy and start taking everything apart and replacing something when in reality i could have just bought everything right the first time.
I saw a dyno with a 2k with around 305whp with a greddy kit, i mean thats enough(bitting tounge) for now, maybe.
thanks for the honest replys

By the way, check out Forged's kit. They're a sponsor here.
