sorta like this fellow or much louder? That Sux bad.
Hey, the rings look sorta OK still. Oh wait, maybe not.
Anyway, I agree a bit misleading. I expect that the kits are reasonably reliable if you install them as suggested. Once you go outside the design intent of the kits (and by this I mean, stock pulley size with FPR and electronics), it's all on you to make sure the thing will not self destruct.

What am I missing here? The title "Why you should tune when boosted" doesn't say anything about a "kit", SC or TC. So why is it misleading. I think it is food for thought for anyone who is thinking about going FI. Regardless of what your source of boost is, before you start getting on it, you better have it properly tuned. Especially if you buy a kit setup and modify it.
LOL... calm down guys. I doubt this one thread is going to give your precious Vortech kit a bad name. The POINT is, don't run boost without tuning correctly.
Back on the subject... Yeah, it sucks. Cylinder wall was messed up at the top too. Combustion chamber is all dinged up, looks like the top of the piston. Time to sleeve and do a nice turbo kit. Anyone know of a 9:1 forged piston?
