i'm a bit confused about all this.
i'm picking up EMS soon. i'd rather use PLX gauges then the UEGO.
the gauge has a "sensor block" that reads a/f and converts it to signal the gauge can read. similar to the defi's i believe.

it uses the Bosch LSU 4.2 wideband sensor.
I would like to replace my stock O2 sensor with this.
EMS should have no issues with this, right?

Is your EMS a piggy back or stand alone?
If its piggy back, I think you still need to keep your stock narrow band O2 sensor, and run your Bosch wide band separate to your PLX gauges.

I use an AEM and i have a PLX 52mm gauge. I dont know my tuner had the EMS use wideband feedback as it was tuned on a dynodynamics but you could still use the PLX bosch sensor for open loop I would assume.

You will just have to calibrate the o2 sensor with the AEM. There is a dropdown menu in the software so just try and find your o2 sensor there. If you can't then you can still calibrate it with a certain decimal. Pretty simple just have everything hooked up and have the car running at idle and monitor your WB gauge look at the ems and see what it is reading as far as your o2 sensor goes and change the calibration until they are reading the same.
When you get to the tuner make sure they use there fancy o2 sensor to assure that yours is accurate.
