Default Engine let go on dyno

Well, took my car to be tuned and everything was going well.

2000MY
Stock f20c1 except with arp head studs
SoS 3-bar map
AEM 320 LPh pump
ID1000
Stock fuel pressure regulator and fuel rail
93 pump

Basically made 3or4 power runs bumping up the boost each time with no problems. Went to run 12.5 psi and at the very top of the rev range, oil shoots out of the breather filter we had on the valve cover and out of the dipstick. He pulled the head and let me know that the tops of each piston were melted and that cylinder 3 had a decent dent melted in. He believes we lost fuel pressure for some reason at the very top and thinks it was the FPR. What do you guys think? Here are the timing and fuel maps? All runs had an afr of 10.5-11.2 by my AEM wideband.

Tuner says timing is very conservative and should not have been an issue here. It looks that way to me too based on the map for it. What are your guys thoughts?

If timing wasn't confirmed the numbers in the ECU mean nothing.

Sounds like major detonation from too aggressive of timing for the fuel used.

Did you switch spark plugs.... Cause if you didnt they could have detonated early. Thats a lot of heat for stock plugs

Oil banjo bolts were upgraded. I was running one step colder NRG iridium plugs. He did not datalog that run or the previous as far as I know but I can ask him to make sure. Would timing have been confirmed by a catalog. Sorry, this is the first time I've had a car tuned or used AEM.

What are the odds that if the FPR let go at 8500 rpm that the sudden lean mixture would fry everything like that? Tuner did just let me know he is kicking himself for it but did not datalog any of the power runs but did say he saw that the injectors were at 92% duty cycle at the top right before the engine went.

I don't know anything about how to read any of those graphs, but this is what i'm reading.

-Drop car off at tuner
-Tuner is trying to make more power/torque by messing with all sorts of settings AFR, timing, etc. etc.
-Tuner conveniently does not log runs
-Tuner blows up motor
-No records available of how motor was treated or what was happening while tuning...

So, who gets to pay for the new motor???
