engine movement
soo..
i have been experiencing some engine movement, mainly when i turn left the engine moves right and the downpipe will rub the sub-frame..or when i am under accel, yes hard, that the downpipe will rub again..
i haven't had this problem until quite recently..i figured they are getting stretched out but not broken entirely yet..
basically i am here to see who has upgraded their engine mounts with high hp fi applications and yes i have searched the innovative mount threads but i have not really found what i am looking for..
does the engine move less or the same with these mounts. side to side that is. when cornering or what you can push the engine with your hand in the engine bay..
and i would like to hear from people with the stiffer mounts. 95 85 etc..
also how if any does clutch chatter reduce as far as drivetrain shock..
the biggest reason i ask is because i am having some bolt breakage and such with the turbo bolts and manifold bolts..

This is a good topic I'm considering new mounts also since my engine is out. I was looking at the innovative mounts also. I was also looking at inlinePRO has a set for our car and they claim on the web site that the mounts pivot which allows you to take the transmission out without dropping the sub frame! Pretty good idea if it works. My other concern was fitment since I have a bottom mount (Full Race) manifold. Not sure if there is fitment issues or not with after market mounts.
