Was there any impact on your engine due to ems failing?

No. vtec wasn't working on mine which caused an extreme rich condition. The car was also stalling due to the ems. I have heard of the car not supplying fuel due to a bad ems. I would not be suprised.

AEM does not offer and tech support for the v1 anymore. I am also pretty sure that the upgrade option to the v2 is no longer available as well.

Just curious - did you hear this from them directly, yourself, or is this based on someone else's comment somewhere? As the OP, I'd certainly want to hear it in my own ears, and would call them regardless of what is said on here. Nothing against you Bazurk, or anyone else on the forum. I just wouldn't want to be left with an expensive paperweight until I was certain I'd exhausted all options.

I wonder how much longer until the same happens with the V2...
