AEM does not offer and tech support for the v1 anymore. I am also pretty sure that the upgrade option to the v2 is no longer available as well.
Just curious - did you hear this from them directly, yourself, or is this based on someone else's comment somewhere? As the OP, I'd certainly want to hear it in my own ears, and would call them regardless of what is said on here. Nothing against you Bazurk, or anyone else on the forum. I just wouldn't want to be left with an expensive paperweight until I was certain I'd exhausted all options.

I wonder how much longer until the same happens with the V2...
If I recall, there was an announcement made by AEM that was shared through some s2ki vendors in regards to the termination of tech support for the V1 models. This is what also started the buy back option where v1 owners could have upgraded to v2 models. Either way, this isn't directly from AEM themselves, so my apologies if what I am saying is actually incorrect. A quick phone call to AEM's support group will clear this up if the OP is interested in doing so.

Its all guesses right now. Motor going kaboom doesn't tell us anything. What failed is what will dictate if it was the tuner's fault or not. Cracked sleeve, ringlands, snapped rod, cracked wristpin, valvetrain failure etc etc etc probably isn't the tuner's fault but things melting is.

Unless OP put 87 octane in his car, as another one of his threads indicates is a possibility. Or if the fuel pump or ems was faulty. It's never so cut and dry, unfortunately.

I'm not seeing any indication there's a wideband O2 sensor in the configuration. Was this tuned measuring at the tailpipe?
