hi guys I have an etune from evans. now my lap top wont recognize that the aem is there. has any one had this issue?

im using windows 7 on my latop and I believe jeff uses xp.

with the charger set up installed I now cant start my car with out resolving this issue

 

Do you have the latest version of the AEMTuner on your computer?

 

If the computer isn't seeing the EMS, your most likely culprit is the serial to USB adapter. I've had one go out on me and have heard of them going out plenty of times. Don't cheap out on those, I picked up a $30 one from Best Buy and never had issues with it after a couple of eBay ones failed on me within a couple days.

make sure to download all the .net software requirement.

If all fails, borrow a friends laptop.

 

ended up being a 32 bit problem. had to use a 10 yr old 32 bit laptop with xp on it. only way I could get in to update the firmware

jeff uses a v24 firmware. my aem was bought 2 years ago it has a v11 firmware.

 

That sounds like a v1 problem, I used to have fits trying to get hooked up...but got a v2 and I don't think I have ever been rejected.
