Default exedy hyper single

i just picked up a slighty used cusco/exedy hyper single clutch..

it comes with the pressure plate, clutch plate and flywheel..

my questions..

1. can or should i use an ap1 flywheel on my ap2 with this clutch? i was told that the exedy was designed for use with this clutch and the OEM specs wouldnt work. this flywheel weighed about 10lbs i think.

2. can or should i use my oem clutch disk instead of the 6 puck it came with? my stock clutch only has 27k on it.. no sign or trouble.. i was only considering this because i was hoping to cut down on the chatter.. i know the ceramic thin plates are a bit noisy..

does anyone have input/experience on this clutch with FI use? im sure itll hold. ill be way under 300ftlbs of tq im sure.

1. just resurface the fly you received.
2. i wouldnt use the ap2 PP, i dont think it has the clamping power that the disc requires. You might be able to get away with the exedy PP with your stock disc.

Chatter sucks, you should hear mine. Your learn to live with it and just raise the volume on the radio.

Theres a local guy with this clutch and an SOS kit. He's putting down like 400whp 250'ishtq(if i remember correctly).

the hyper single is going to come with its own flywheel attatchment. you wont be able to use an oem fw or an oem pp. its a complete setup from exedy similar to a twin disc but with just one disc instead.
