1. What kind of manifold is it? Mase Engineering
2. How long did you have it before it cracked? 2 yrs
3. Where did it crack? Cracked at the runners/collector
4. Why do you think it cracked? The turbo and wastegate being to heavy to support, I beliee this manifold needs bracing
5. What did you do to fix it and/or was it covered under warranty? Had to have it rewelded, Mase never returned my email in regards to fixing it.
6. Possible picture of it cracked?

No cracking or issues with the manifold what so ever
Have had the kit for 2.5 years now (appx. 6000 miles)

Most kits especially sidewinders are now made with schedule 40 due to the stress put on the manifold. The mase manifold is paper thin compared to full race, fbm, and trackforged all use schedule 40 that's why the manifolds weight about the same as a small human but it's worth it. Apparently you could hoist the motor out by attaching it to the manifold and it wouldn't crack that's how strong they are but hey I'd never attempt it so I couldn't make any completely true statements about that lol

Make of manifold: PLM t3 twin scroll

How long was it on the car: about 3 months

Where did it break: wastegate flange broke off completely as well as the waste gate elbow about 80% around the weld

Manifolds are very low quality ,i had to re weld the flange and elbow twice, and found out from the previous owner that it broke on him very shortly after he bought it new at the same place on the flange and elbow. I think they advertise sch 40 but that is bs, my brms sch 40 manifold is probably 3 times heavier than the PLM manifold. They are $800 new with down pipe don't waste your money buy something else

It's been holding well after I really cranked on the heat and added a good amount of rod when I welded it this last time. Its been good for about 4k miles now

321 stainless is the material of choice for turbocharged aircraft exhausts. Believe it or not, aircraft exhaust systems see more high temperature operation than any street driven car, regardless of driving style. And, certainly more extended high temp operation than all but the most exotic 24 hour type race cars.

The secret has always been 321 stainless and slip joints. I hacked together a 321 stainless turbo header for my 94 miata. Worked perfectly and never cracked. Guessing 75,000 miles on the header when I sold it. I purchased the parts from Burns Stainless, including the pre-configured double slip joints. (they contained 3 pipes)
