I've always run this set up of keeping oem mufflers, add turbo, and exhaust cut out on 4cyl engines and its cheaper, eliminates drone(nearly impossible to really do on a 4cyl) and keeps the car fun and functional. The only sound i like for daily driving is intake and turbo sounds. The only time i enjoy 4cyl exhaust sound is under heavy load/high rpm. Electric exhaust cut outs offer the perfect balance , i highly reccomend them especially the DMH brand cut outs as cheaper ones will leak and are a pain to deal with.

I have a 2.5” SP Performance boost actuated cutout, turndown pope, and Y-pipe that I’ll give away for a good price if you’re interested. It hooks up to the stock exhaust. The butterfly was bent and straightened. It needs to be re-enforced to prevent any future issues. Let me know.

I went with a ballade sports ac hose relocation kit. Found it odd theyd waste their time adding an additional High Pressure port???
Relocating the ac lines will make it easier to just unbolt the turbo manifold and vband downpipe and the entire turbo system can be removed in minutes. Worth the price to add simplicity and room.

I have a Y pipe where my test pipe use to be and run run a 3" QTP electric cutout off it and my catback is a q300. My initial plan was to go with a stock exhaust because of how much I hated the q300. I would never switch how it is now though. The q300 sounds amazing with a turbo to muffle it. Most people think my car is stock.
I will say, I have broken my electric cutout 6 times...yes. 6 times. If you go that route, take it apart and red loctite every bolt on it, their quality control is ass and those units are just not built very well. and then buy replacement flapper kits. Any time the flap is closed and the car backfires for whatever reason, boost cut, rev limiter... it bends the fk out of it and I have to replace it. It is seriously annoying.

FINALLY found someone that welds titanium. Went with titanium wastegate dumptubes. Titanium is much lighter than steel= less stress on manifold, no need to brace the pipes, plus i cant wait to see what some titanium screamer pipes sound like on an s2k, keeping it simple with a 90degree bend. No need for fancy pie cuts.

Wrapped the titanium wastegate dumptubes.
Dei silicone paint on pipes(so wrap wont slide around) DEI titanium wrap, DEI silicone paint over wrap(to further protect wrap from water) all tied down by stainless steel zipties.
