I want power I originally was thinking and extra 100hp but now thinking more like an extra 200hp, I have to see. Either way I'm trying to learn more about my options. The FAQ's post dates are very old. It seems to also bash the Turbo's. Should I ignore the FAQ's for more info and just continue reading the recent threads?
I'm still debating between Turbo or SC and if so do I go with Inline, SOS, AMR (big STI builder) racing is local and want's to build a custom turbo.
How much power will be engine hold without being worked?
What 0-60 and 1/4 mile times should I expect or rather will I be able to take on cars like a Lotus Exige S240 or Porsche 996 TT on road courses?
I'm trying to keep my budget around 10k -12k including tune and install, car is stock now so i will need exhaust clutch, ect.

turbo on the S is tough for road course racing. many stories of over heating. if you are gonna def road race teh car, look in the racing section first and ask them what they think of turbo application.
if no road racing. turbo is kick ass above 400whp. you can make nasty power on a stock motor.
if you want sc, for what its worth, i love my roots blower.
