Finally, a cool night and my car feels like a
Too cold? Is that possible for a motor (assuming it's able to warm up)? Air is more dense (rich in oxygen) the colder it is...more O2 = more boom -> more power. How could it get too cold?
That was just my observation. Maybe it was a traction thing (tires were too cold), but the car pulled its hardest in 60s-70s.
My last car was a bit different than the S in a lot of ways tho. It was a Pontiac Grand Prix GTP. It put down about 340lbs of torque @ 2200rpm and would spin tires thru almost all of 1st.
Again, this was pretty much butt dyno.

Was the car modified at all and also was this car NA or supercharged??
My car used to boost spike and creep like crazy back in winter when it was cold... When summer came around I had to adjust my boost controller so I got full boost.. and I'm sure I'll have to be careful for the first few times when its cold again.
As was pointed out earlier, the colder the air, the denser it is... this can be a a good thing (if you're car is tuned properly and can take care of the extra air with enough fuel) or a bad thing (car starts running too lean and isn't getting enough fuel in the mixture)...which can cause to motor damage...
but I have never heard of a car feeling stronger around 60-70 deg. as compared to 30-40 degs...

* Intake
* Full Exhaust (manifolds to mufflers)
* Smaller S/C pulley (making about 11psi on a roots style blower - so the power curve is diff than w/ the CSC's that people put on their S's)
* higher ratio rocker arms
* cooler T-stat
* Alcohol injection
that is all i can remember right now...
ran about a 13.3 1/4mi @ ~108

It was a supercharged push-rod V6. It was (kinda) heavily modified:
* Intake
* Full Exhaust (manifolds to mufflers)

Now I know you're not going to feel as much of a difference with SC as compared to turbocharger, but still I'm sure you'd get some sort of appreciable increase in performance when it gets cold...

So it was FI... and still you felt that it was faster and/or more powerful at 60-70 degs???

My guess is that it was a combo of A/F and traction in colder temps.
