Default Finally, a cool night and my car feels like a

Cool temps in the DC area tonight made me go out for a drive. Wow! My car feels completely different when it's nice and cool outside. I went out looking for some American muscle to try to pick on but came up empty. FI sux when it's hot as hell out but it is amazing when it's cool...the car feels like there's a 50HP differential between cool temps and hot temps...craziness!

Maybe your intercooler isn't working.

Yea I have no intercooler and thats how mine is. The worst is sitting on a hill at a stop light in traffic on a very hot day.

No, I was "kinda" serious. Maybe your aftercooler system isn't working. Have you checked your water pump? Have you checked the level in the system? Is your aftercooler rad clooged with debris? Or your main radiator clogged on that side so air can't get through to the smaller rad?

I know that my FMIC is doing its job (just took all the charge pipes off last week), but I can definitely feel a difference between when it is 88 degrees out and very humid, and when the temps are 40 degrees outside.

Aftercooler is topped off, radiators are good...every FI car I've ever driven reacts like night and day to big temp variations...

i think my stock ap2 reacts VERY different with temperature changes. the other day we were at 98 degrees, with lots of humidity and my car sucked. the same night it was pretty cool and it pulled much harder and didn't lag at low rpm's.

fi probably exagerates that some.
