So when a car is missing or detonating theres nothing wrong with it? Go watch the video he put up a week or two ago when he was pulling in 2nd it was clearly not running right.

What gear were you going through the traps in? It sounded like 4th to me. You should be going through well into 5th. I went to the track the other night, making 508hp, with a 3.0 60ft went 12.65@119. My 5th gear synchro broke, so i had to let off after 4th. You should be trapping about 131-133. Go find a 1000cc bike to race and see how you do...that should give you a good idea of your trap.

Here is what my tuner said.

Its running about 24psi it looks like in the logs, which will definitely effect your times. What was your trap speed?

The knock control is being triggered sometimes when you reach that rpm. For the best results at the track we can either try to take a little timing out or just turn the knock control off while you are there. Either one is perfectly safe as far as I am concerned, the decision is up to you.

Your car is not detonating.

I ran a 13.5 at 330hp with my kit. I was able to beat or keep up with Shelby's and GTO's. I think personally your car is fine, it just take practice, it is much harder than people think. You have only been out 2 times.

I watch Pass Time every night with my daughter, I see big mean cars go up and rip a huge burn out, phat tires, running huge v 8's and run a 13.6. I saw a Vet zr1 07 cams exhaust modded run a 12.8 just tonight.

I would just practice a bit, you will get better and faster. Just keep at it, don't break anything and have fun.

its not his time that most of us are troubled by, its his trap speed. its missing near 10 mph to me.

i dont know about it knock retarding dude. thats just me, but the stock knock calc tables in aem dont pull timing at 3.2 volts at 8000+ rpm. unless the table was modified. ehhh, i tihnk more then antyhing its the missing 2psi of boost. that could be 20-30 whp. that would def help the trap.

if yuo have time have the car dynoed again. but the plugs look fine, logs didnt look bad, go to the track again, try turning off knock control and see what happens.

Yea but I know how to do both....and if I get even a decent launch (2.0 60' ) Ill trap in that range. Its not super hard, have to leave the line without smoking the tires....I have been doing this for almost 10 years now....

agreed, first off the gap on those plugs is SMALL, i thought you had the RSX coils? Secondly, those plugs show detonation all over them....
