Another simple solution is cut the harness and use spade connectors. They are easy to remove when you need to remove the drain plug. Install male/female on each side of the wires so you don't ever get them mixed up.

I have the same oil plug adapter and thought it would be a pita, but honestly changing the oil isn't too bad.
