yeah, my main thought was, how small should i go?
Depending on the boost you want to have I have heard that FMIC can loose up to 3psi of boost. So considering that you can choose the pulley you want. For me go with a pulley that will give you lot of boost because sooner or later you will get bored and you will want to increase boost.

is there a chance that a higher boost pulley would lose less through the fmic, i.e. my stock pulley loses 3-4 psi, but a 10 lbs. pulley loses only 2? wishful thinking...

Becarefull with the pulley upgrades, you dont want to put the blower out of its efficency range. You may make the boost but it will be hot and unstable. The name of the game is Volume and volumetric efficency not boost pressure solely. Make reference to your blowers efficency map.

I think this is the case. With smaller pulley you will lose less boost but someone can tell you more about that. At least this was the case with a friend of mine who installed FMIC. Your blower will go out of it's efficient range i think below 3.0" pulley.

BigShow, 1st How many boost the car had before the IC upgrade? 2nd Have you checked that the piping is not leaking through the holes next to the BOV.

If you try to connect the airpump there you are loosing at least a pound 1/2. Try disconnecting the houses that go there and rev the engine with the hand under the tubing holes to see if air is leaking. if it is then just plug them.

The air pump hoses go to the airbox in your supercharger setup not the pressure side of the piping.

I had the UR FMIC and setup on mine when I had the CT SC. I only lost 1-1.5 psi with mine. I stepped up to the next size pulley (from SOS) and stayed completely stock and was running about 6 psi with the FMIC.

I saw the private label FMIC after I paid $850 for my UR kit, but the UR kit was well manufactured, fit perfectly and worked just as UR said it would...

You get what you pay for.

i definitely agree there. took a chance on it though. even if something cheap does work, you'll always have questions about it.

my air pump is long gone.
