Is FORCED INDUCTION right for me?

Yeah, the E46 is cool and all but I (or any other FI S2k) would absolutely slaughter one.

^^ how bout a Vortech S2000?

Dyno numbers to me mean nothing if you can't perform at the track.

I don't have time for the track...I work way too many hours.
so you're saying a S2000 that dynos in at 450whp has nothing on your M3?
(my car is nowhere near that, but just saying)

I seem to remember seeing at least a couple 12.9 timeslips posted by guys with base systems, and in the case of the CTSC cars, with gears. I have SC/AC, 4.30 gears, and KAAZ LSD, and have run 13.3 with a 60' time of 2.4 seconds, so if I didn't suck at launching the car (I just can't bring myself to launch this car the way I need to to get the 60' time down) I might be able to get very close to 13 flat (or maybe even a little below). From a first or second gear roll, with the S2k at 6k, the E46 M3 might be in for a surprise.

Well, the added hp + some extra torque should fill my needs
.
Have you looked at the new jackson racing "rotrex" supercharger? Don't get me wrong. I love turbo setups, but I've had a few friends that always had problems getting the car to run correctly. I know a good installer/tuner should make it run right, but there aren't any where I live

I said, dyno numbers for "any car" don't mean anything unless they can put good numbers at the track. Well, I guess it means something. Means you can brag about having high hp numbers..lol

Drag racing has as much to do with traction and how much you're willing to abuse your car to make some meaningless point, as it does "quickness".
The M3 and the S2000 were made for the track, and both are great at what they do. But if I were going to bet, I would bet that any FI S2000 would walk all over any NA M3 at, say, Tsukuba.
My .02...
[QUOTE=Kondor999,Jun 30 2007, 08:38 PM] If you bought an S2000 or M3 to drag race -well, you're an idiot anyway.

Why is everyone getting so defensive when I brought up the m3? lol. I have an s2000 now and I actually like it more than my m3. I'm just saying that the m3 is a quick car stock and could probably beat or at least hang with supercharged s2ks.
