Well not a guru, but the "love tap" would make one think that you have a loose connection or cracked circuit board.Have you opened it up?

Make sure all your grounds and power supplies are good to the ecu, if everything checks out you will have to send it in for repair.

then i put the aem back .......broooom! what da!!! i kept the car, i didn't drive it since(3 mos) --- maybe i should drive it and check it carefully this week. Look like its gonna be mid 50's in New england this week.

Not so sure it would be power ground just showing up on the ems...it is supplied by the harness, you would think that you would be having other electrical issues if it is a bad ground. I bought a used v1 and it had a rattle in it...so I broke the seal to find one of the screws that holds the connectors on the inside had backed out.

If the circuit board is cracked you may or may not be able to see it and a gentle tap could make it connect again...so you may want to have it sent in and repaired. If you do that make sure you save your map to your laptop...they may erase it?

have you checked to make sure all the sensors are reading correctly?

And the warranty stickers are mostly useless.. they only have a 1 year warranty..

normally if there is a problem with the eeprom you wont even be able to connect to it with your computer.

check your map sensor plug.. since you said when you hit a bump it messed up, that leads me to believe there is a loose connection, the map sensor plugs are notorious for coming loose.
