The SOS kit uses a 12awg wire. Depending on the insulation they use, that is good for 20-30A. Supposedly the Walbro 450 pulls 17A. So technically you should be fine. The numbers were just too close for comfort for me personally.

They state that it should suffice and in theory it should, but it does not. I dealt with issues for years with the SOS rewire until going with the Seamless kit.

Another question, can I convert to a return system without tuning?

I got 14awg wires in my SOS kit so make sure you check before installing, I replace mine for 10awg instead.

Yes, I do this to pass smog in California. As long as the fuel pressure is correct, and the injectors are stock, it should be a non-issue.

Apologies if I should just create my own thread for this, but I started tuning today and everything was going great until we got to the high rpms. It looks like I am leaning out really badly above 5k rpm. And the current thought is the fuel pressure is dropping. Anyone have any experience with those type of issues on these custom return setups?

I can't find any leaks in my lines. I pulled the fuel pump and reinstalled it today just to make sure that was all good. I've got 44psi with vacuum line disconnected, which is what I set the FPR to. Tuner says he thinks it's an issue with the FPR not seeing vacuum/boost under load.

Maybe a vacuum leak somewhere?

Talked to the tuner this morning and he's thinking it could be a bad ground on the fuel pump or possibly the fuel pump is leaking in the tank. I pulled the pump yesterday and the hose was still in tact. So I don't think it's leaking.

I used the ground location recommended by seamless but I have gone ahead and swapped to the location SOS recommends for their kit. As soon as I get a chance to test this out, I'll report back. I was kind of concerned about the seamless location for ground, since it's so small and hard to sand. The SOS location is a nice big section of the body/frame. So hopefully that's it.

Issue is not fixed but I am getting higher voltage at the pump with the new ground location. So definitely glad I went with that.
