Fuel system for 1000 whp
Hey guys,
Can someone knowledgeable in fueling systems on the S help out? I currently have the FB dual hanger with 340's and -10 feed/-8 return. On e85 and ID2000's, what is the max whp achievable keeping the duty cycle at 90% or below? If this won't get me the 1000 whp, which I'm thinking it won't, would trying to add another 340 pump (now 3 pumps) to the hanger do it? Will the stock tank be able to support the fuel draw without having to go to a surge tank if the slosh pan is modified or removed if needed? Is it volume of fuel we need to keep the duty cycle down or pressure? I'm thinking pressure and I'm worried the 340's, even 3 of them, will still cap off around 80 psi, when I may need upwards of 100 psi of fuel pressure.
Thanks

That's intriguing. Is there a kit out for that and easy to setup? I have all accessories on the car BTW. Does a normal 255 or 340 supply from the tank to the mechanical and then it does the rest? I'm just unfamiliar on how that system works.

same setup i just went to, although i have 2200's. I dont think2x340's will get to the 1khp mark, pretty sure theyll be topped out with the 6466 at 850-900. I dont know whats next to go to after this. tomorrow i should be getting retuned to max it out so ill let you know what the max psi i push is

It would be very difficult with all the accessories in place still.
I keep forgetting "street car" when I talk F-series stuff. Haha.

That thing is $1200. LOL If I could get a mechanical pump to work with all the accessories, that would run about $700 but that probably seems out of the question per Carey.
Would 3 340's suffice enough pressure to safely get to 1000 whp and keep the 2200's at a safe duty cycle on e85? I'm sure I could make 3 fit on the dual hanger if this could work. The only other thing is to get an SOS surge tank but then you're still using the 340 pumps (2 in the tank and 2 in the surge), which still may not get the pressure needed. That's where I am torn; do we need high pressure or volume of fuel to keep the 2200's at a safe duty cycle? If 80 psi pressure is about the max with the 340's (even 3 or 4 of them), will that be enough with as much volume as they put out or am I going to need to get something better to get the pressure up? If so, what pumps are out there that will still fit the dual hanger and supply reliably up to 100 psi? AEM?
Really appreciate everyone's help with this, so keep it coming.
