They do offer an inline 255lph walbro. Could you add a 044 close to the tank while using stock lines?
You would have to modify the fuel line but you could mount in the trunk next to the fuel pump service cover.

i opted to use a bosch pump because of the much higher base fuel pressure that can be run (~150psi max pressure versus ~80psi of a walbro), and the fact that walbros have some reliability issues with them (when on low fuel)

you also have to look at the fuel system in 2 ways, do you want hi pressure or hi volume...

the FB setup is a hi volume setup and low pressure (maxing out around ~80psi total pressure) so to achieve big numbers you need low base fuel pressure, thus needing large (2000cc) injectors to drive the injector duty cycle value down into a tolerable level....

The Bosch setup like mine is Hi pressure, letting one use smaller injectors (1000cc) but running higher base fuel pressure , which drives the duty cycle value way down.....

i still may run 2000cc injectors to make sure i dont ever run out of fuel, or maybe add another bosch to the surge tank......

Thanks for the details

You know all we need is someone to start making a new hanger with an Bosch 044 which would be a great solution.

i plan to reproduce my surge setup for users here on the board, its costly, but a great alternative option to FB, which is an amazing unit, just made for hi volume....

Apparently the tops are different in the dbw ones. Hit me up and we will make one that fits. LJ

You can mod the walbro to run past 80psi. We have done it over and over without any issues.

I don't think dual 044s would fit if you lower them through the hole at the same time. If someone made a hanger, I'm guessing it'd have to be a couple of pieces that you'd lower into the tank and then connect them together.

I know a DSM guy who did dual Walbros on a budget and did his DIY fuel pump hanger in 2 pieces/brackets that he put in individually and then screwed together.
