Default Fuel System Setup with SC

Hi all,
My current setup is an aftercooled comptech SC at the stock boost level. I've recently acquired a 7lbs pulley and an Emanage Blue with all the necessary harnesses and i'm planning on installing those soon. Though I understand that the typical route taken by other members when increasing the boost level involves removing the Comptech Rising Rate Fuel Pressure Regulator, and replacing it with either an adjustable FPR or the stock FPR, aswell as replacing the stock fuel injectors in favor of higher flowing units. Since i'm only going to be running 7 psi (where the stock injectors are still sufficient), couldn't I just keep the Rising Rate FPR in place and use the emanage to trim my fuel curve once i've set the fuel pressure to the right level? Let me know if my thinking is flawed.

Thanks for the help,

Matt.

My friend was running that setup for a while - he found that it was a bit of a PITA to tune well though, and eventually went for a set of 550cc's.

question: once you get it tuned, do you have to keep checking up on it or does it always stay the way you tuned it? and wouldn't you HAVE to get bigger injectors in order for the eManage to be able to get you to run more rich?

revhi - does this mean that you didn't raise the fuel pressure and instead added more fuel using only emanage? Also you are 7 psi too, how close are you to max duty cycle?

Thanks for the responces

I ran a AEM 1:1 FPR and RC 440's with a e-manage blue without an issue. The biggest reason to switch to larger injectors with the e-manage is being able to ditch the rising rate FPR.

Duty cycle is at about 90% at full boost, no I did not adjust the FPR.

--Thanks revhi.

--Slows2k, Why is an advantage to ditch the rising rate FPR?

Better control over fueling than just increasing the fuel pressure.

The stock fuel injectors were not designed to work at 125psi as well.
