Full Race Installation?
So I researched and found that the origenal FullRace kits required alot of fabrication to fit.
Are they new kits any better? How much fabrication is required on the new kits?
I understand battery relocation is required, but thats easy. Is there anything anyone can offer as advice for installation of this kit?
(any cutting required like the inlinepro kit?)
I have an 04 ap2 and am still researching what will be one of the best turbos available. Looking for about 400-450whp with decent power in the middle of the rev band (4-6k). The full race kits seems to offer good reliablilty while offering a well made tubular manifold.
I am not sure about the inlinepro kit because the power delivery seems to be very linear with most of the power being made after 5k.

Where you want to make your power mostly rides on the turbo you choose, if your looking for high numbers and top end while keeping spoil times down, the biggest you can go with on the inline pro kit is GT35/40R and the requires a notch in the sheet metal wall of your engine bay about the size of a bussiness card, if your looking for low end power and no high numbers your gonna wanna go with a smaller sized turbo, but base your turbo on where and when you want you power to be.
I just got my manifold and downpipe last week , quality is next to non. I ve seen a lot of custom turbo manifolds including the AMS manifold for the evo vIII wich more or less is a descent comparison and believe me the quality is superior. And with the new design you only have to relocate the battery, wich I believe there was a guy here last week who just put a small odissey battery and turn the fuse both in a lateral position so now we have that option too. FULL RACE ROCKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i have the new full race kit sitting next to me awaiting install, the quality is amazing, and the robotic welded manifold it truly a masterpiece, ill let u know how the install goes, should be going in the garage soon

I am to an extent. My car was the prototype car for updating the kit. I have 1500 problem free miles. This isn't my daily driver so I am waiting for summer to really put the miles on. The original kit had 3k miles with a drive to and from Arizona to Las Vegas and back. Then the car went to be what it is today but the only change to the kit was the addition of a second wastegate. PM me if you want anymore info.
